ITINERARY
DAY 1: CUSCO – POROY – MACHU PICCHU – POROY – CUSCO
We will pick you up at your hotel 30 minutes before the scheduled departure from Cusco, we will take you to the train station located in the town of Poroy (30 minutes by car) where we will board our train and then we will make our trip. On the way back to the town of “Aguas Calientes” (2 000 masl / 6 561 ft) which lasts 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Arriving at the train station, our guide will be waiting for us with a sign and their names, with which will go to the bus station, to ascend to 400 m high, a zigzag trail for 30 minutes to reach the incredible Wonderful World “Machu Picchu Sanctuary”, known as “The Lost City of the Incas”.
Once you have arrived at the citadel of Machu Picchu, we will go to the checkpoint where you will be given your entrance ticket. From this place, you will begin the guided tour, you will visit the main places of the city, such as the Plaza de Armas, the Circular. Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries, the tour will last more than two hours.
At the end, you will be given free time to walk around the citadel and visit Machu Picchu on your own, then we will return to “Aguas Calientes” and take our lunch in one of the many restaurants.
In the afternoon, we will take the train back to Cusco (at the station 30 minutes before the departure time of your train), the return will follow the same route as the outbound journey, arrival at the train station in Poroy, will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco (30 minutes drive).

WHAT TO BRING
What should you bring?
- Original passport
- Wear sneakers or light shoes / tennis shoes.
- Drink plenty of fluids during your excursions.
- Raincoat (long poncho) during the rainy season.
- Long sleeve shirts.
- Long pants.
- Insect repellent.
- Sunscreen, brimmed hat for sunny days.
- Binoculars.
- Sunglasses, plastic bags.
- Medications and/or personal items (liquid for contact lenses).
- A light backpack or suitcase (no weight limit between 5-6 kilos maximum).
- Camera or video camera and film.
- Have on hand checks in small denominations and coins in soles or dollars.
- Bathing suit for the hot springs (optional).
